INDUSTRY UPDATE: ENGLISH RDF EXPORTS SHOWING SIGNS OF IMPROVEMENT

England exported 1.6 million tonnes of RDF in 2021, which is 0.2 million tonnes less than in 2020. This follows the trend of a steady year-on-year decline of RDF exports since 2017. However, there is signs of improvement and the industry remains positive for 2022. Sweden has become the most favourable destination for RDF exports followed by The Netherlands and Norway.  However, it is forecasted that volumes towards Germany and the Netherlands may increase.
