INDUSTRY UPDATE: STRIKE SOLUTION

An ongoing strike in Brighton, Sussex has led to a pile up of waste around the city. The strike was initiated over bin lorry drivers’ pay and changes to their rounds. Private firms have been drafted in to help remove the rubbish which was becoming a health concern.

However, GMB, in conjunction with council, may have come to an agreement to the end the strike in Brighton. A pay offer has been put forward by the council.
